I have to disagree with the folks who don't like this content. This is absolutely RV and travel related. These upgrades aren't just flashy performance mods. Mods like this will make your truck more reliable when you're towing big travel trailers. By the way, I would suggest you permanently remove the hood so you can show off the intake. That bronze looks amazing!

he charged you 350 labor to install the intake? after the factory one was already out for the labor of the fuel pump. was the charge for mabey a tune for the intake?

My wife drives all the time and she's not afraid to back up but doesn't work at it. I broke my foot on a dirt bike and couldn't drive. She drove us home and got the trailer in the back yard on the first try. Backing into that spot was an S turn. I was highly impressed.

I changed to this pump in June of 2023 as a preventative measure. Good call guys on completing this upgrade prior to a CP4 failure

If I’m driving in the US I always double up on the fuel additive I use as US diesel is in my mind substandard for lubricant factors.

GM fixed that issue on the L5P

I will say this truck has been very very well taken care of! If and when you decide to upgrade you should to a KYD buy in raffle to sell it 😂 with the planned maintenance this truck has received it will be a million mile truck for sure!

KYD thank you for taking us along on all your installations and upgrades. It gives such a clear picture of the reality. I always find the beginning portion of a new item so interesting as you make it yours and apply the wisdom you have gained.

Great video and great info. Thank you. I have to say that I'm kind of mad at Ford for having a known problem for a number of years that doesn't show up until the warranty runs out and then costs $12k to fix. That's a big pill to swallow on a truck that has 100k miles or more. Ford shouldn't keep selling trucks with this same problem year after year. And, I know that all of the manufacturers have their own version of this. Once a big problem is known, the manufacturer should redesign and fix the problem.

So it appears that the CP4 is going to need CPR so it’s best to get a heart transplant before the big one hits and switching out vessels for better transport of oxygen will make things run better, also, what you put in your tank affects functioning…….looks like you found a good surgeon ! Sorry, I’m a nurse not a mechanic but we gotta take care of our machines ❤ BTW, your killing me waiting on your Minnesota trip, I’ve been waiting for years, now you’re just teasing me 😮 Blessings

Hey Marc, I know this is off topic but you mentioned in one episode that you don't get your oil changed at regular intervals because you send your oil in to get tested. Can you expound on that or direct me to where I can get that information?

BTW All of these diesel motors would run for 1 million+ miles if the EPA would get out of the way. People act like throttling and ruining passenger and medium duty diesel trucks is going to save the environment.

ARod did a ton of mods on my truck including the CP4 replacement 10 months ago. I agree with Mark on the added sounds from the turbo. This is a collaboration that has been needed for a long time. Two great channels coming together to give us what we want which is great content. Great work to you both!

I had 200k miles on my LML before trading in and avoided any CP4 issues. A lift pump went in at 100k as extra reassurance.
